It is no secret that business operators want more customers. It is much more satisfying and rewarding to have
customers come to you, rather than you having to chase them. MCEI Marketing Awards 2010 recognise the importance of
promoting individual businesses of members to the wider business community.
Entrants in the MCEI Marketing Awards benefit from the promotion MCEI organises (via Solo promos to the MCEI
Data Base which is distributed to around 4,000; full page profiles with links to individual websites in the
Member’s Directory; speaking engagements; media etc) which in turn, attracts more customers and sales.

Communications Executives International is a not for profit Incorporated Association founded by Jack Wu and Barbara
Gabogrecan in 1999.
International Chapters MCEI is an International
Association with its Head office in Geneva and is recognised in many overseas countries, ensuring that all entrants
of the MCEI Marketing Awards in Australia become part of the extended ‘family’ of this illustrious
association. members from the four Asian chapters will be in attendance at the 2010 MCEI Awards and the Asia
Pacific Conference.
In Melbourne, Australia – MCEI specialises in supporting the Small, Micro and HBB sector with the additional
support of larger businesses.
Who Can Enter the MCEI Marketing Awards in Australia?
- Any Australian business who has successfully used a marketing strategy for their business or
organisation can enter these awards. All entrants must be prepared to accept a complimentary MCEI Gold
Membership for 12 months (Value $330) as the award winners can only come from MCEI Membership (this rule has
been set by head office in Geneva).
- The business can be of any size (up to 100 employees) and any trade or profession e.g. trades people, the
creative industry, food and hospitality, the automotive industry, service industries, the retail industry,
aquaculture, agriculture etc.
- The marketing strategy can be simple or complex e.g. networking, advertising, catalogues, joint ventures
etc. or a combination of these and others.
Not Eligible:- Employees and immediate family of the Awards organisers, (committee of MCEI
Melbourne) and any sponsors associated with the Awards are not eligible to enter; nor is a winner from the previous
two years.
Note: Winners of the Highly Commended recognition from one year may enter the following
year.

* It was with deep sadness that MCEI Melbourne learned that Kenji had passed on. Kenji was a particularly good
friend of the Melbourne Chapter and its President, Barbara Gabogrecan. His dynamic personality and his great sense
of humour are sadly missed by MCEI members world-wide.
