Complete Your Entry in These Small Business Awards Without Becoming Frustrated and Harassed

Simply Change the Way That
You Organise Your Time

Every year some people lodge their nominations in the MCEI small business awards and begin their entry, but then run out of time. What a shame – and a waste of the precious time that they have already spent in starting the entry process!

Either set aside a day or two when all you do is work on your small business award entry; or allocate a couple of hours per week towards compiling your entry.

Follow the checklist below and put a time frame to each step.

Complete the Nomination Form 

Return Nomination Form with $150 Administrative Fee
    (Please send prior to Entry Form if possible)

Complete the Entry Form and attach to the front of your entry

Contact 3 associates who will agree to be referees for you

Get 1 written testimonial from someone of standing in the business community (can be one of your referees)

If you are not already a member of MCEI, complete the Membership Form (all entrants must be members and non members are given a complimentary Gold Membership)

Complete the Profile Form so that you can be listed in the member’s Directory

Provide a portrait photo as a JPG or PNG file

Answer the 5 Questions.

Put each question on a new page

Write the question in full with the answer following

Number all pages

Have your name and business name on all pages

Add support information eg; testimonial, media coverage etc.

Email your submission to awards@mcei.org.au

If you wish to mail a hard copy, send by Express Post to reach the following address before 1st October.

1. Official Launch of the Awards will be a special event to be held on Friday 6th August 2010 (venue to be announced) 
2. Nomination Form and payment must be received
   before entries close on 1st October 2010
3. Closing date for receipt of entries is 5.00pm, 1st October 2010
4. Announcing of Finalists and Presentation of Winners will take place in Melbourne on 26th October 2010 at
